Georgia Grade 3 math, Numerical Reasoning

3.NR.4.3 worksheets: fractions in more than one way, including greater than one

The standard

Represent fractions, including fractions greater than one, in multiple ways.

Element 3.NR.4.3 of Georgia's K-12 Mathematics Standards (2021, effective SY2023-24), in the Numerical Reasoning strand. It sits under standard 3.NR.4: Represent fractions with denominators of 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 in multiple ways within a framework using visual models.

What students practice

Students shade shapes to show a given fraction, keep counting past 1 on number lines, and write the fraction for shapes with more than one whole shaded, such as four thirds. Fraction stories and the Mixed Review switch between models.
