3.NR.1.3 worksheets: round to the nearest 10 or 100 within 1,000

The standard

Use place value understanding to round whole numbers up to 1000 to the nearest 10 or 100.

Element 3.NR.1.3 of Georgia's K-12 Mathematics Standards (2021, effective SY2023-24), in the Numerical Reasoning strand. It sits under standard 3.NR.1: Use place value reasoning to represent, read, write, and compare numerical values up to 10,000 and round whole numbers up to 1,000.

What students practice

Students find a number on a number line and decide which ten or hundred is closer, then round the same numbers both ways on a third page. Halfway rounds up, and nothing goes past 1,000. The first three number lines on each page print their endpoints; the rest leave the endpoints for students to fill in.
