4.NR.5.2 worksheets: tenths and hundredths as decimals, and decimals as fractions

The standard

Represent, read, and write fractions with denominators of 10 or 100 using decimal notation, and decimal numbers to the hundredths place as fractions, using concrete materials and drawings.

Element 4.NR.5.2 of Georgia's K-12 Mathematics Standards (2021, effective SY2023-24), in the Numerical Reasoning strand. It sits under standard 4.NR.5: Solve real-life problems involving addition, equivalence, comparison of fractions with denominators of 10 and 100, and comparison of decimal numbers as tenths and hundredths using part-whole strategies and visual models.

What students practice

Students write fractions in a place value chart and then as decimals, write shaded grids as a fraction and as a decimal, and turn decimals back into fractions. With dimes and pennies, they write amounts as money and as a fraction of a dollar. Decimals stop at the hundredths place, and no page asks for word names.
